Your planner stays in your browser unless you choose to send or save something. We do not sell your personal information.

01

Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run and improve Meaningful Macros. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:

  • Information you provide, such as your name, email address, comment, feedback, or message.
  • Meal-planning information, such as age, height, weight, activity level, goals, meal choices, and grocery-list edits. The planner currently saves this information in your browser so your plan can survive a refresh.
  • Email-delivery information. If you ask us to email a plan or grocery list, the destination address and the requested content are sent to our transactional email provider for delivery.
  • Grocery shopping information. When you use a store connection, the selected retailer receives the searches, store or ZIP code, product identifiers, and quantities needed for that action. Walmart product preferences are saved on your device. A Kroger connection uses a short-lived encrypted session cookie; we do not receive your retailer password or payment details. You can disconnect Kroger in the shopping panel, and clearing site data removes saved product preferences.
  • Basic usage and device information, such as pages visited, approximate location, browser type, device type, referring page, and interaction events collected through analytics, logs, cookies, or similar technologies.
  • Account information, if account features are available and you choose to create one.
02

How we use information

We use information to provide recipes and planning tools, deliver requested emails, remember your choices, respond to you, operate comments and accounts, prevent abuse, understand what is useful, improve performance, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

03

When information is shared

We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the site- such as hosting, authentication, analytics, spam prevention, and transactional email services. They receive information only for the work they perform for Meaningful Macros.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer. Embedded content and outbound links may let third parties collect information under their own privacy policies.

04

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

Essential browser storage keeps the site secure, remembers your privacy choice, and lets the meal planner keep your work on your device. Clearing site data in your browser will remove that saved plan.

With your permission, Google Analytics uses analytics cookies to help us understand how people use recipes and planning tools. Meta Pixel and the Pinterest Tag use advertising cookies to measure visits and improve campaign reporting. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.

Analytics and advertising storage are denied until you choose otherwise. You can accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies in the cookie banner and change that decision later using Privacy choices in the site footer.

05

How long information is kept

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including delivery, security, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. Public comments may remain until removed. Planner data stored only in your browser remains until you clear it or reset the planner.

06

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. You can also ask us to remove a comment or account.

Send requests to meaningfulmacros@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

07

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or transmission method is perfectly secure. Meaningful Macros is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

08

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests can be emailed to meaningfulmacros@gmail.com.
